i have a couple of egyptians and that i have had for almost 2 years and was curious if anyone knew the age/ weight they need to be before i can put them together and try to breed them?

yea i posted on a few other uro forums but nobody has answered so just a reply was a big help LOL thanks. i even email Deer Fern Farms who i got 1 of my egyptians and my red saharan from and haven't heard back and this was a couple weeks ago.

Hi. WOW I really like your Egyptian. I have been looking for one for some time but I got a great deal on a Redback Chuckwalla from Deer Fern Farms, so I went with the chuck. I might build another enclosure and get an Egyptian. When you talk about Egyptian Uros, you are talking SERIOUS Uro!!! LOL!!!

yea the egyptians are alot of fun, my female hides alot and doesn't care to be messed with but my male is like a little puppy, as soon as i get home he runs to the front of the cage and scratches at the glass and just wants out he doesn't even eat right away he comes out runs up my arm onto my shoulder but he does scratch the crap out my neck so then he runs person to person on the couch then will finally go eat LOL he is a handfull but alot of fun. DFF does have some good deals i got my female egyptian and male red saharan from them. i have been wanting a chuck for awhile they are really cool lizards i found 2 like a month ago in arizona while out herpin they are like the north american uro, if i ever have room im getting one LOL

Hi. Ya I have had my chuck a bit over a week and I am still learning his habits. He reminds me of a bird. He raises the front of his body and tips his head and looks around. Funny thing is he seems to watch me and my computer screen. After he has warmed his body he somtimes begins to move about even jumping from rock to rock. He is still a little skiddish right now as he still has to sdjust to his new home. He doesn't stay far from his favorite hide and I put the feeding dish near him as he really doesn't like to venture to the other end of the enclosure. But I think you are right. From what I have seen and read about Uromastyx behavior, the chuck seems to be the Western version of them. I would like to see more pictures of your Egyptians. At this point, all you see are pics of Saharans and Malis mostly.
