OK - the camera is charging now, but I did get one shot to post. This is the rear left quadrant. I'll post more soon. This is only temporary until the fake wall is built.

Those rocks look great! I love the clumps of grass... very realistic! :)

Thanks Spyral - I appreciate it. :D

Here are a couple new pictures and then I begin the fake wall. I have a 6x3x3 frame built and about a million tons of styrofoam...

Kamiel,
Thank you for your kind words, very much appreciated. It was important that there were multiple rockpiles and that they were sread out a bit so there was some open space for them just like their old home. I think it would much homier (new word) for them with a pair of desert iguanas in there with them. By the way - I like the style that you used on your enclosures.

First of all, awesome stuff, Tom! Secondly, are those imitation rocks/grasses?

Thanks Vers, I appreciate it. The rocks are (real) limestone (at this time.) The grass was found growing wild here in Minnesota. I boiled it for about a half hour to kill all bugs and stuff. I tied the grass togeter and buried it in the sand. Uros and Chucks can be like bulldozers, but up to this point, they have not messed with the grass much. When the fake wall goes in, I want to try some real grass (Carex) and see how that works. I have found no issues with it being dangerous to Chucks or Desert Iguanas. In a perfect world I would put some creosote in the enclosure. I think the roots may be an issue though - still, I'm going to do some more research on it.

Are you going to post pics of your new enclosure?

Very nice. I wish I had room for this type of enclosure but alas, if I were to build one like it I think the other half would have me living in it. Anyway, yes I will post images of my new enclosure, which I just brought in last night :)

Tom, can you grab a shot of the exterior? I'm curious as to how you've got it constructed.
