Very nice looking!! Is that female gravid? She looks huge. What size are the adults? How do they compare in size to say Ornates or Malis?

I have 2 each CB female Rainbow benti and a LTC WC male. The females are not gravid in the photos they are very similar in size and shape to Ornates.
They each weigh around 200 grams in the photos but I have not weighed them since they have started breeding the last couple weeks. The male is a little lighter at 182 grams.
I have had them for around 9 months and the females have gained over 100 grams in that time. The gentleman I purchased the females from was housing them together
and once I got them and set them up separately they grew a ton.

I have witnessed the male mating with one of the females but not the other yet. I am very hopeful that they are both gravid now.

My wife shot a video of them breeding on 03/28/2010

Very interesting positon they go into when they are breeding. Now I know just what to look for in my ornates when they're of breeding age and size. The bentis are really amazing. I always have liked the bentis, and I can reallyl see why these are "rainbow bentis".

Mine do not but I could not say if that is typical as my male rainbow is a long term captive and my two females are captive breed so I think I have an advantage. My rainbows are some of my best adjusted lizards I have and the male is one of the tamest Uromastyx I own.

That male is VERY cool! The females are pretty as well. I can see why they are called rainbow bentis!
