Very nice looking hatchlings Tom. Again a huge congratulations for being the first to successfully breed and hatch these cuties. :)

Your philbyi babies are adorable. I'd like to see pictures of the parents, too. I don't know much about these uros except they are a sub species of the ornate uro. From what I've read they are as calm and a little smaller than ornates. Is that true? I've been leaning toward getting an ornate uro for a pet until I saw and read about philbyi uros. Can you tell me about their personalities and how they compare to ornates ? Thanks.

Hi ME

Sorry it took so long to reply. Never saw your post. Yes they are tame and calm for a wild caught lizard but in my opinion ornates are just as calm as they are. The really only thing that makes them more appealling I think is their scarcity. It is really hard to beat a nice colorful male ornate. If I were you I would try to pick up a couple cb baby ornates from someone that has a nice bloodline and raise those with the hopes of getting a male. I would not try to get these farm bred baby ornates that are coming in. You don't know the bloodlines and it seems that the coming in now just don't have the color as some of the established colonies that some of our breeders have here in the states. For instance go on Lindsay Pikes web-page and look at his breeder males. The will knock your socks off and then look at the adults a lot of the wholesalers are selling and you will see what I mean. Good luck!

Tom
