Hey,
We got Romeo (my daughters Uro) about a month and half ago, he has settle in well, is very active, eats, and seems to be doing well. I did notice that he is getting this white stuff on his snout though and at first I thought maybe he is shedding but its getting a little bit bigger. I took a picture of him and was hoping someone could help me with this. This is the first time reptile for us, I have plenty of experience with dogs, cats, and birds but am a bit lost with this little guy.
Thank you ahead of time.

Hi. That to me looks like he is shedding his skin. Uromastyx lizards also secrete minerals through their nose and white deposits can be seen on their face. Often times your Uro will "blow its nose" and you might see the deposits on the glass.
Keep an eye on that white spot on his head though. It might possibly be a fungus, but that is a guess on my part as I have not seen a lizard skin disorder first hand. On looking further at the picture it almost looks like a little dust caked on his head. Keep everyone updated on his condition and maybe someone with more experience will post and give you a better idea what's going on. That is a very beautiful Saharan Uro.

I agree it looks like he is about to shed. If you notice there are some lighter colored skin behind his eyes on his cheeks and top of head. It looks like a classic shed. Very nice looking animal. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum.

He is either shedding or creating snalt which is his snot and salt formed together around the nose and head area snalt is natural.
