My smaller female laid 10 eggs this year, but I can't tell if my bigger female is gravid yet. I doubt she will lay eggs this year, but I am crossing my fingers for next year. I wonder how many eggs she can lay since she is a lot bigger than my small female

Here is my bigger female

Wow what a beauty. Gummy do you find a color change on that female? Looks like she could be more blueish some days or more greenish other days. Also do you find she has brighter color while basking? My Chuckwalla seems to undergo color changes according to body temp. I have read of accounts where Uros get brighter at higher temps.

Thanks guys!

sihunt, I rarely see both of my females...ever....unless I take them out. Usually, I take them out at night once in a while to check their progress. During the day, they are way to skittish.

So, I haven't really got a chance to observe color change....but I have noticed for basking lizards in general: they are darker when cold, brighter when hot.

I would like to make an outdoor enclosure for their well-being, but especially to see how their colors would come out. There is NO replacement for the sun!
