I have a 40 gal long tank and would love to get a Mali but I think they would grow out of it very quickly. I there such a thing as a dwarf Uromastyx? Also, what is the preferred sex for two uro's in one tank?

Sudanese are rather small. Uros in general can be tough to house together. We have a trio of Sudanese that stay together. There is one female that is the dominant one and she runs the other female and the male around. We have had to make two separate basking areas so she can't control both at once. I would not recommend keeping more than one of any kind in a 40 gal. Saharans are easy keepers and can be very pretty. I strongly recommend getting a captive bred one of what ever type you choose. Many imports are doomed from the very beginning. There are a few keepers on here that take the time to acclimate imports before selling, but that is not true of most who sell imports.
