My WC ornates have been in since this past Thursday. They do nibble at the ''salad'' I provide, but don't seem to eat much. They have also accepted some hand fed items of greenery. I have a sald of home-grown weeds and have mixed in a few red hibiscus blossoms, yellow and orange nasturtiums, and some white shasta diasy petals, so it should be plenty interesting for them. I also soaked the 15 bean nix in water ans shelled all of the peas, beans, and lentils, and mix that in the salad as a topper. They are passing nice firm stools and I will have to get my gram scale form storage to get an accurate assesment, but the weight on them appeared to be reasonable from the start and does not seem to be decreasing in any way. I just expected them to be a bit more piggish. I am going to add some more intense bulbs to the enclosure and get them a brighter and much more intensley lit cage, but they have a basking spot of 135F at it's hotest point and temps between 85-93F ambient, with 78F at the coolest part of the enclosure. Night temps are about 68-73F with no supplemental heat provided. I have a temp gun and use a zoomed 10.0 for UVB, but may change to a reptile UV Mercury Vapor bulb in the future.

My Uros dont eat a lot either but they do eat everyday and have been gaining weight since I got them. I guess some just arent pigs like others. Just dust off that scale and monitor their weight.

Thanks for your input. I have had time to observe them and they do eat a bit here and there throughout the day. I'm going to add some Repashy Veggie Dust, bee pollen, and TNT to the mix to be sure they are getting maximum nutrition in the amount they do consume. I also think that the overcast days may be contributing to inappeitite and addind more ambient lighting to the cage will overcome this.

Uros are pretty finnicky eaters. As long as yours aren't losing weight I wouldn't worry about them. But you posted this a long time ago. :D How are they now?
