Hey everyone! My name is Natalie

I heard about this site thru Tom Greb and also have been talking Uros with Tim. I am somewhat new to the Uro world - I have owned a small group of uros for about 3 1/2 years, but never realized you could buy reptiles online and have them shipped. I became friends with the people that run a local reptile zoo and they told me about the buying and selling of reptiles online, and introduced me to Fauna Classifieds and I have found some other sites as well. I currently have Mali, Niger, Ornate, Egyptian, and dispar dispar. I have been breeding Bearded Dragons on a small scale for some time, and since I have become comfortable with the care of Uromastyx, I decided to start buying myself some nice uros to hopefully breed within the next couple years. I also have many nice red back chuckwallas from Tom, and a couple common chuckwallas I bought from a local pet store. In addition to the chucks and uros, I have a group of Bearded Dragons consisting of 3 1.2 trios and a bunch of sub adults. I love watching the baby beardies my pairs produce grow up into unique, funny, wonderful animals, and I hope to have that same experience with Uromastyx and chuckwallas. I did have a small clutch of Chuckwalla eggs I attempted to incubate this year from a WC female that I rescued from a bad situation. The female ended up egg bound with the last 2 eggs (she successfully laid 3) and did not make it thru the surgery to remove them. While the eggs looked ok at first, they eventually went bad and my hopes for a clutch of baby chuckwallas were crushed. Although losing the eggs was very sad, I think it was more disappointing to lose the female; she had such a rough couple of months with her previous owners, and I wanted so badly to give her a good life and watch her get healthy and fat. Just another example of why WC specimens should only be purchased if you really know how to acclimate and you are experienced in your husbandry - if she had gotten into the right hands right after she was introduced into captivity, her story may have had a different ending. But by the time I was able to get her, she was already severely underweight (her tail bone was completely pronounced on all areas of her tail) and dehydrated, and even intense veterinary care couldnt bring her back.
Im excited to now be a part of this site and Im always up to talk uromastyx/beardie/chuckwalla/reptiles and to see pictures of other peoples lizards. I will try to attach some pictures of my reptile family.. =) thanks for reading!!
