yeh i dont intend on buying anything but still going. will prob end up buying something im sure, it just cant be another animal lol.
im hoping they will have some plants there, thinking about putting live plants in the viv with the chucks.....hmmm.....a challange i expect! ive got some ideas for trapping water vapour so it doesnt make the humdiity in the viv any higher. i can just see the plants getting trampled all over lol.

cool - only live plants i have are in my small reptibreeze enclosure, that has a 3month old male ambilobe panther chameleon in, i have only the 2 plants in there and sometimes it takes me an age to find where he is hiding :)

lol.
i volunteer at chessington zoo and they have two chameleons in a massive enclosure with loads of fake plants and decor. we have to check them at the beginning and end of every shift, you can imagine how annoying this can be at times lol.
luckily they tend to have certain spots that they like so can often find them there lol.

i do wonder how much time people walking through spend looking for the chamelons lol or if they just give up and move onto the next enclosure!

cool job :)

am going to get him a lady come december, whch is when she'll be old enough, as i am going to the same breeder, stunning chams, she's un-related from lovely parentage, so in a year or 2 i hope to have babies for sale - which will go to funding any further uro projects......

mind you, by then the cham collection may also have grown too, chams are one of my favourite lizards, just below my uro's, and tortoise are my 3rd faves, i know not a lizard, but i used to have indian stars and redfoots, but as me, our lass, 2 young children, 7 dogs, 3 cats and a small fish tank aswell as the lizards are all living at my parents, for the forseeable future, but trust me when we look for a house i will be looking for that extra room so i can have all my lizards in there, so it will be the UroCham Room :)

awesome! really look forward to knowing all about the breeding! and seeing pics of course! ive never been that fond of the idea of keeping chamelons, the eyes freak me out a little lol but i do love them all the same. its the colours and those amazing joints of theirs!

yeh my reps have thier own room. lucky sods. lol i do think it is a good idea though, having them in a seperate room, they get a more peaceful life that way lol.

id love to have tortoises, the ones at the zoo are so lovely, red foots breed like bunnies. they also have an eastern box and a bells hingeback, oh and a mud turtle. i love turtles too!
they are supposed to be the most intelligent of all reptiles, even more so than monitors. hence why loads of cartoons have a wise old tortoise - cant believe i never knew before recently.
ill have to see if i can persuade the OH if i can have a tortoise/turtle in the future, really pushing my luck but isnt that what us women do? hehe!
