my son has a uro and i'm getting my own soon found this site it's about the best one for info not much out thier on uro's been look for a detailed list of safe plants,flower ect. my daughter has tortoises and was wondering if i could use the same safe list sence i can't find a good long one for uros http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/site/plants_19.asp

Welcome Heather. We keep more tortoises than Uros. I have not found anything that is safe for tortoises that is not ok for Uros. Good luck!!

hi heather. i go by the same rule. safe for tortoises, safe for uros, chucks and generally all reptiles that eat plant matter.
good luck finding a uro perfect for you. there is loads of choice with uros :) very rewarding little guys.

i got my own little uro it was really stressed out so i cover sides of cage my son's really was not this scared but mine is very young so should get better do they normally not eat to much when you get them it did eat danilion yesturday though

yeh try not to be too concerned. keep the vivarium covered and try to leave the little guy alone for a couple of weeks. just changing food and cleaning, no handling.

it often takes a few weeks to settle in and the appetite to improve. i would suggest offering corriander and rosemary as this is known to stimulate appetite. bee pollen can be useful in the settling in period as it helps boost immune defenses during time of stress and is highly nutritionally valuable, fresh nasturtium flowers are ideal if you can get hold of them.
