hi, my wife and i have a little 18month old uro called dexter who has been great for the better part of a year now but the last three weeks he barely eats, sleeps almost all day and just seems down in the dumps. he's never been a huge eater, to be honest we never did see him eat just the mess he left behind. the vet says he's a picture of health but i know my pets and he's not himself. bask spot 120.5-140.0, mixed salads every day and seeds 24/7 in his tank which is 5x3x3 and he is 8inches long. lots of hides and a cool end of 85. i just want to know he'll be ok, it's sad but he makes our day better every day

thank you

I'm going to guess burmutation. The temperatures are starting to go down outside and he may be getting in that mode. It's basically the same as hibernation. They eat a lot less and sleep a lot more.

It seems like some of ours are starting to slow down some. Our male Mali is not getting up daily any more. He did this very thing last year, even though we never cut his heat or light at all. They simply seem to know. I would keep a very close eye on him, but it may be him slowing down for the winter.
