Hi Vers. Very impressive enclosures. I would like to present my enclosure I built which has an Egyptian Uromastyx as a resident. First, an overview shot.Image This is a 60" X 29 3/4 X 24" enclosure. Next is the left side rocky play area.Image Then I have the housing, feeding and basking area on the right side.Image
Here is the spot bulb and a fluorescent flood.Image
Here is a shot of the 150 Watt Ceramic Heat Emitter with a guard I made. Dual Reptisun 10.0 UVB 48" tubes on the left and a 30" 3500K tube for color on the right.Image Here is a closeup of the CHE. Image
I installed a Temp/Hygrometer as a bell and whistle.Image

Hi Again. I ran out of post so let me conclude. I have a dual thermometer with hanging probes and also a thermostat and probe for the CHE.

There is a lot of satisfaction building your own enclosure. I must say Vers you have taken some marvelous steps in creating yours.

I am waiting to see when your enclosure goes from "Interior (not yet finalized)" to Interior (finalized). You have excellent carving skills...
It'd be nice to see pics of the uros in the enclosure...

Thanks for commenting :) to be entirely honest I wasn't as happy with this bg as I was with my first, especially since this was my second go at it so I thought it would come out better. Aside from that using the 'great stuff' was a bad idea as its pretty spungy where I carved so the grout doesn't have as stable a surface to adhere to--its actually cracking in a lot of spots because of this. Granted, this might also have something to do with the grout not setting up properly. Anyway I've got a large root centerpiece which I'm still debating using, perhaps if I take a snap of it you guys can help me decide.

As for the tenants, they're not here yet...that must wait until Wednesday.

Just a quick update. Because the BG seemed to be cracking a lot in places I decided to remove it and put two more layers or grout on it. This time around I'll wet cure it for a couple of days to increase tinsel strength. Hopefully it'll be done in time for the new arrivals.
