Copulation

I have been watching our Saharans lately. I have seen a lot of head bobbing and cirlcling. Today I noted a male with his tail under one of the female's tail, he had her by the neck and all. My question is, how long does copulation take in Uros? It seemed like they were connected for less than a minute. Are they like birds? Or more like tortoises? :lol:

The ones I have seen were only a few short minutes long. I never actually timed it but perhaps 2-5 minutes. Its pretty obvious when they are locked up as you an see in Troy's post.

So it seems they are practicing. It would not surprise me at all if they have been successful at other times. I am sure hoping so!!!
